Start with the file you need to publish. A free preview, a watermarked download, and a file licensed for commercial use are different deliverables. The useful choice depends on which one your project needs, how much editing you want to do, and whether the free allowance covers that work.
LyricVideoMaker publishes this list and is included in it. The official information below was checked on October 28, 2026. We compare documented access and export conditions, not results from a paid head-to-head test. There is no universal winner here, and the order is not a quality ranking.
Free access and export conditions at a glance
| Tool | Documented free access | Export conditions or limits | Official source |
|---|---|---|---|
| MakeLyricVideo | Generate, edit, preview, and download without an account or card; email required at download | Full-length 720p with watermark; free public posting excludes commercial use, paid ads, and broadcast | Product and licensing details |
| LyricVideoMaker | Free account; published allowance of 150 one-time generation credits | Free exports carry a watermark; supports 16:9 MP4 at 1920×1080 | Our plans and credit details |
| Kapwing | Free $0 plan with 10 credits | Unlimited watermarked exports, up to 4 minutes each, at 720p; 5GB storage | Kapwing plan comparison |
| Canva | Free account can download MP4 | Up to 30 minutes at 1920×1080; Pro or paid assets introduce watermarks | Canva video download help |
| Capify | Free preview | Paid plans unlock full-length exports, higher-quality downloads, and editing controls | Capify product details |
The table separates downloadable output from a preview. It also keeps credits separate from export counts: ten credits in one service cannot be compared directly with 150 in another. Neither number tells you how many finished songs you can make without knowing the operations involved.
MakeLyricVideo: a more generous free starting point
MakeLyricVideo deserves a look if your priority is downloading a complete lyric video without registering. Its official site describes free generation, editing, preview, and full-length 720p downloads with a watermark, without an account or credit card. Note that the download step asks you to enter your email address, so no account does not mean no email. Uploads accept MP3, WAV, AAC, and M4A files up to 100MB. Official details.
Those free access conditions are more generous than ours: LyricVideoMaker requires a free account and uses a limited generation credit allowance. If avoiding an account and getting a full-length free file matter most, start by evaluating MakeLyricVideo.
The licensing distinction still matters. Its free version permits public posting but does not authorize commercial use, paid advertisements, or broadcast. The site lists a one-time $29 payment per video for watermark-free 1080p output and a commercial license. Check the applicable terms for your intended release before choosing that route. Export and license information.
LyricVideoMaker: evaluate the lyric editing workflow
Our lyric video maker is worth evaluating when reviewing the words and their timing is central to your project. Begin with a passage that contains a difficult line, then check whether the editing workflow suits the corrections you need. Our audio upload and lyric review overview explains that starting point.
New users receive 150 one-time credits after signing up; treat the balance shown in your account as the final figure. Generation consumes credits; free exports carry a watermark. The exporter supports landscape 16:9 MP4 at 1920×1080.
That allowance is not a promise of a free complete song or a fixed number of videos. The work you choose affects what the balance covers. Read our free account and export overview, and inspect the available balance before committing to a larger project. Choose us for a workflow that fits your material, not because we publish this comparison.
Kapwing: compare a general editor against your song length
Kapwing is a general video editor rather than a lyric-specific tool. Its Free plan lists $0, 10 credits, unlimited exports with a Kapwing watermark, a four-minute maximum per export, 720p resolution, and 5GB of cloud storage. Credits can be used for auto-subtitling, with up to ten minutes listed for the free allowance. Official pricing.
For a shorter song, those conditions may be workable. For a recording longer than four minutes, the free export limit matters before you spend time styling text. Unlimited export count does not remove the duration limit or make credit-consuming operations unlimited.
Use our Kapwing workflow comparison for music projects to frame your evaluation. Check the official pricing page for current upgrade terms rather than assuming a paid plan is necessary for every project.
Canva: start with the layout and inspect the assets
Canva is a general design tool. Its Help Center says Free accounts can export MP4 files up to 30 minutes long at a maximum of 1920×1080. Pro or paid assets can introduce watermarks. Those conditions make asset selection part of your export check. Official download guidance.
This makes Canva a candidate when your starting concern is the visual layout. The download specifications alone do not establish how lyric timing will work for your song. We make no claim here about whether Canva provides automatic lyric synchronization. Evaluate the timing and revision steps you actually need before building an entire video.
Capify, Youka, and VEED: keep the unknowns visible
Capify advertises a free preview; paid plans unlock full-length exports, higher-quality downloads, and editing controls. It accepts MP3, WAV, M4A, and MP4 uploads up to 100MB and six minutes. We don't list Capify prices here; check the official Capify site for current paid terms, alongside our Capify comparison for lyric projects.
Youka focuses on karaoke and lyric synchronization. Youka's pricing page lists paid subscriptions rather than a free plan: Basic at $9.99/month for 100 credits, Standard at $19.98 for 200, and Pro at $29.97 for 300. The documented per-song cost is 5–10 credits. This does not establish whether free access is available; check the official Youka pricing page for current options.
We don't list VEED prices or allowances here; please check the official VEED pricing page for current plans. Our VEED comparison for lyric-focused editing provides a separate workflow discussion, not a substitute for verified plan terms.
How to choose for your next release
Use this checklist before investing in detailed visuals:
- Define the deliverable. Decide whether you need a review preview, a public personal upload, or a commercial release.
- Check the file conditions. Match duration, resolution, watermark, and download access to that deliverable.
- Test a demanding passage. Include a fast lyric, a held word, and a long line that could wrap awkwardly.
- Try a correction. Fix one word and its timing; record any additional credit requirement before proceeding.
- Inspect the download. Watch outside the editor, including the opening and ending. Our music video export checklist can guide this review.
If you still need the recording itself, our guide to free song generation and download rights covers that separate decision. Music access and video export access are not interchangeable.
Disclosure and limits of this comparison
This is a publisher-authored comparison based on official information and our own product details, not an independent ranking or a promise of output quality. Plans, eligibility, and licenses can change. Confirm current conditions with each provider and check your rights to the music. Where information could not be verified, we have left it unspecified rather than treating an unknown as a disadvantage.
