Privacy Policy for Lyrics Quick Cleaner

Effective date: July 16, 2026

Lyrics Quick Cleaner is designed to process only the text a user explicitly selects and sends to the extension through the Clean selected lyrics right-click menu.

Data handled

The extension handles the selected text, which may be considered website content or user-provided content. It also creates a local timestamp and, for an oversized selection, a character count.

How the data is used

The selected text is used only to:

• Display the original selection.
• Apply conservative local whitespace formatting.
• Let the user edit, copy, download, or restore the text.

Storage and retention

Selected text is stored only in chrome.storage.session, an in-memory storage area provided by Chrome. It is not stored in durable local storage or synced storage.

Chrome clears session storage when the extension is disabled, reloaded, or updated, and when the browser restarts. The extension does not provide or use long-term lyric storage.

Data transmission and sharing

Lyrics Quick Cleaner does not upload, transmit, sell, rent, or share selected text or any other user data. It has no backend service and makes no network requests.

The Create a lyric video link opens https://lyricvideomaker.app only after the user clicks it. The extension does not attach lyrics or other user data to that link. Any activity on that website is governed by the website's own terms and privacy policy.

Browsing data

The extension does not collect browsing history, page URLs, cookies, account identity, authentication data, or full-page content. It does not continuously read webpages. For the user's explicit context-menu action, the extension uses only the selected-text field supplied by Chrome and ignores page URL and other context fields.

Analytics and advertising

The extension contains no analytics, advertising, behavioral tracking, or third-party tracking SDKs.

Permissions

• contextMenus is used only to add Clean selected lyrics when text is selected.
• storage is used only for temporary in-memory transfer of the selected text to the extension result page.

The extension requests no website host permissions.

Remote code

The extension does not download or execute remote JavaScript. All executable code is included in the extension package reviewed by the Chrome Web Store.

Changes to this policy

If the extension's data handling changes, this policy and the Chrome Web Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the changed version is published.
